Dear Diary,
I broke up with my ex-boyfriend cause he kept flirting with other girls and now my friend is hanging all over him whenever I am around. Why would she do that? She knows it bugs me.

Boy problems are a big issue for girls. Your friend can truly like your ex or she could be jealous of you. You can talk to your friend about it and see what’s going on instead of letting it get to you. You might find that she’s not such a good friend after all and you should develop friendships with other girls.

Dear Diary,
I am having my birthday party this year at my favorite restaurant and my mom said I can only bring 10 of my friends. I really want to invite Michelle but I just don’t have enough space. I don’t want her to be mad at me if she’s not invited. I don’t like having to pick and choose among my friends. This is really stressing me out.

Having to decide between friends can be difficult. Before any fights or gossip starts, talk to Michelle first and tell her why there’s a space problem. You can suggest doing something else together to avoid any hurt feelings. Caring about your friend’s feelings is important and being honest with each other is a good way to show you care about your friendship.
