Dear Diary,
I hate school. There’s this group of girls that constantly pick on me. They call me horrible names and leave nasty notes on my locker. Today one of the notes said that something bad was going to happen to me in the next week- I’m really scared and don’t know what to do.

In situations like this, you must go to someone at your school that you trust and talk to a family member who can help you. Talk to a teacher you like, a guidance counselor, or the principal. Bring the note with you and tell them what these girls are doing to you. It is important that if you feel threatened, you must tell someone what is going on right away.

Dear Diary,
There’s this girl in my class that some other girls pick on. I don’t have a problem with her but I’m not friends with her either. Today at lunch, a bunch of mean girls ganged up on her and started to make fun of her outfit. I felt really bad cause I wanted to tell them to stop but didn’t and the girl started to cry.

While it’s hard to stand up and do the right thing all the time, remember to treat people the way you would want to be treated. If there are a lot of girls involved and you are afraid you might make things worse, go find a teacher to intervene and stop the bullying.
