The Wounded Child
Project
A very simple, single-focused site, The Wounded Child Project,
collects the true-life stories visitors have to tell via e-mail
about bullying in their own lives. Established by Brenda High,
the mother of Jared High, lost to what she calls, “Bullycide” in
September 1998 as a action-memorial to her son. Students,
parents and survivors of bullying tell their stories so that
others may learn of the emotional, psychological, mental and
physical abuse they have suffered at the hands (and minds) of a
bully. Excerpts are published on the site. Selections deal
mostly with male children.
